1. Terms of Service
By creating an account and using StreamScape TV you agree to these terms. Accounts are for personal use only. Misuse, including credential sharing for commercial redistribution, may result in account suspension or termination.
2. Subscriptions
Subscriptions are purchased and managed through third-party app stores such as Google Play, the Apple App Store, and the LG Content Store. Billing, cancellations, refunds, and store-specific purchase policies are handled by the store where the subscription was purchased. We do not process payments directly. Deleting your StreamScape TV account does not cancel the store subscription; you must cancel it yourself in the store where it was purchased.
3. Privacy Policy
We collect only the data needed to operate the service, such as your email address, account credentials, device identifiers, and optional sync data like favorites, watch history, and app settings. We use this information only to provide account access, device management, and sync features. We do not sell your personal data or share it with third parties for advertising purposes.
4. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR)
You have control over your personal data. Right of access and data portability: you can download a copy of all the personal data we hold about your account in a machine-readable JSON file — sign in and use "Download my data" on the Delete Account page. Right to erasure: you can delete your account yourself from the app or from the Delete Account page on the web portal, which permanently removes your account data from our servers. Right to rectification: you can correct your profile details, such as your display name and email, from the app or web portal. Right to withdraw consent: where we rely on your consent — for example, optional product update emails or a connected Trakt.tv account — you can withdraw it at any time from your settings without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. 5. Who We Share Data With (Processors & International Transfers)
We work with a small number of trusted service providers (processors) to run StreamScape, and we share only the minimum data each one needs. TMDB (United States): provides movie and TV metadata; it receives the search terms you type but no account identifier. Trakt.tv (United States): only if you choose to connect it; it receives your watch activity and the OAuth tokens needed to sync on your behalf. RevenueCat (United States): handles subscription and billing status; it receives your account identifier. Cloudflare: provides edge delivery and security protection, and processes general traffic and IP addresses to keep the service available and secure. Our email provider: sends transactional emails such as verification and account-deletion confirmations, and receives your email address. Some of these providers are located in the United States, which means your data may be transferred outside your country (a third-country transfer). Where this happens, the transfer is governed by appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect your data. We do not sell your personal data or share it for advertising.
6. Cookies & Browser Storage
Browser authentication is maintained through strictly necessary, backend-managed HttpOnly cookies. The portal does not place authentication, access, refresh, or bearer tokens in browser local or session storage. Non-sensitive preferences, such as your light or dark theme, may be stored locally in your browser. We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party tracking cookies, and we do not build advertising profiles about you.
7. Data Retention
Your account data is retained while your account remains active. You can delete your account yourself from the app or from the Delete Account page on the web portal after signing in. When you do, account information, user preferences such as favorites and continue watching, and user-generated content associated with your account are deleted from the service immediately. If you submitted a bug report, logs and screenshots you provided voluntarily may be retained for a limited period for troubleshooting and then deleted automatically. Security logs and IP addresses are kept only for a limited period for fraud prevention and security and are then deleted; when an account is erased, any remaining records that reference it are pseudonymized so they can no longer be linked back to you. We do not retain your personal data after account deletion except where required for legal or security reasons, and any such retained data is kept only for the minimum required duration and then deleted. Local app data stored on your own devices may remain on those devices until you remove the app or sign in again with another account.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect account data, credentials, and synced information. Access to the service is protected with secure authentication, encrypted transport in production, and regular operational review of account and infrastructure security.
9. Third-Party Services
StreamScape integrates with third-party services to provide metadata and watch-tracking features. TMDB (The Movie Database): Movie, series, and cast metadata is sourced from TMDB. StreamScape uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. For more information, visit themoviedb.org. Trakt.tv: If you choose to connect your Trakt.tv account, StreamScape will send watch activity (what you watch, when you start and stop) to Trakt on your behalf. You can disconnect it later from your StreamScape TV account settings. Your use of Trakt is subject to Trakt's own terms of service and privacy policy at trakt.tv/terms. We do not share any other personal data with these services beyond what is needed to provide the features described.
